One last place I wanted to write about is the Skagit Valley
Tulip Festival in Mt. Vernon, WA. Basically, every year millions of tulips
burst into a field of color for people to come and enjoy. Across hundreds of
acres, farmers raise tulips as part of their crop and allow anyone who might
stumble upon their field to stop and smell the tulips. You may not think a
giant field of flowers is that special, but this is another one that you need
to see in person in order to really understand it’s magnificence. I didn’t get
to get any good photos since my phone battery died after taking one picture,
but I’ve included the one shot I got. If anyone’s ever in the Pacific Northwest
during the month of April, I would highly suggest going by in order to
experience the intentional but still natural beauty of this space.
